What You Should Know About Radar Detectors and Laser
Ever heard of laser? I'm sure you have, but how much do you REALLY know about it? Did you know that if you are buying a radar detector just because it says it has "360 degree protection against all types of laser" that chances are, it's not going to be effective?

Sure, a radar detector will let you know when it detects laser, but what you probably don't know is that it is only going to alert you once you have already been hit by the police officer's laser gun. In other words, TOO LATE! You have a ticket. Radar Detectors are not effective against the laser gun. "So what can I do to protect myself?", you might ask. Well, there are lots of products available that are specifically designed to help you fight laser. Many of which you can find directly from the Laser Defense section of our website. We will talk more about products later, but first you may be interested to know exactly HOW laser works.
Laser is mostly used by a parked, non-moving police car sitting on the side of road. The laser gun is aimed at the most reflective parts of your car (such as the headlights or license plate). The laser gun then releases a narrow beam of light which is bounced back to the gun letting the police officer know how fast you are travelling.
We have a whole section of products available that can completely jam the laser guns laser. We offer products from Bel, Escort and even Blinder. The newest product that has been added to the site is called Veil. Veil is a clear coating that can be "painted" on the most reflective areas of your car. This will make it more difficult for the laser gun to pick up a reading of your speed. You can view Veil, all of our laser jammers, and detailed descriptions of how they all work by clicking here.
